The Mission of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
We accomplish charitable objectives and fund projects that improve the quality of life in our local Elk communities, and in turn the Elks community as a whole. We pledge never to forget our Veterans. Our programs help special needs children, and our nation’s youth with scholarships and drug prevention programs. We offer countless opportunities for social activities and new friendships. We are the premier charitable and patriotic organization in the United States. With nearly 800,000 Members working towards this greater goal, no wonder why the Elks are referred to as the Best People On Earth.

Elks Lodge Ongoing Events

  • The Elks tent serves up breakfast burritos for the early morning crowd and delicious philly cheesesteaks in the afternoon.

  • End of July yearly. Volunteers are needed to help in the beer tent at the nightly events in the rodeo arena. Volunteers must be TIPS certified.

  • The Jackson Hole Elks Lodge hosts a free Thanksgiving turkey dinner for everyone in the community to enjoy a meal together in thanks.

  • A fall tradition - food, friends, drinks, and a good time. The lodge will have festival themed food and drinks for all.

  • Wednesday nights, Nov - March. Come try your luck on a BINGO card, 50/50 raffle or blackout.  Proceeds benefit educational scholarships.

  • Stop in and watch all of your teams games on the NFL Sunday Ticket. Volunteer dinners, your fellow elks, and maybe even some themed drinks.

  • Held annually in December, the Jackson Hole Elks members host this fun free throw contest for kids 8-13 at the Jackson Hole Middle School.

  • Every Mother’s Day we serve a delicious brunch, free of charge to all mothers in our community.

  • It’s a holly jolly good time with your fellow Elks members. Come down to the lodge to join in the merriment together.

  • September 11-16, 2024. There are more benefits to fly fishing than a day spent on the water, for veterans with PTSD its a week long retreat.

  • Flag Day June 14th and Veterans Day November 11th. We invite the Boy Scouts to help us with Flag Day and Veteran’s Day ceremonies.

Veteran’s Day includes a dinner and special speaker at the lodge.

  • December 1st. An annual celebration commemorating departed brothers on that day throughout all Elks lodges.

Jackson Hole Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot

Elks Hoop Shoot Contest

Held annually in December, the Jackson Hole Elks members host this fun for kids challenge at the Jackson Hole Middle School.

The Elks “Hoop Shoot” Free Throw Contest is the largest most visible of the many youth activities sponsored by Elks lodges. Boys and girls ages 8-13 participate and advance through the local, district, state and regional competition. Six national champions are named – one boy and one girl in each of the three categories: ages 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13.

The Elks’ nationwide sanctioned program gives youngsters an opportunity for spirited competition, fine relationships with their peers, and travel statewide, regionally and nationally at minimal expense to their parents or school. The parents of finalists at the state, regional and national levels attend the competition as guests of the Elks.

ELKS LODGE #1713 BINGO

Wednesday Nights November through March
6:00 Doors Open 7:00 Bingo Starts
Bingo Cards and Accessories are Sold at the Door. Cash Only.
Regular Cards $20 / Large Cards $25
Proceeds from Bingo help fund the Elks Educational Scholarships.

How to Play Bingo Players buy cards with numbers on them in a 5 x 5 grid corresponding to the five letters in the word B-I-N-G-O. Numbers with a letter (such as B-9) are drawn at random (out of a possible 75 in American Bingo) until one player completes a ‘Bingo‘ pattern, such as a line with five numbers in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row on one of their cards and wins the prize. There are many possible patterns to play for.

Veterans Fly Fishing Week

Our veterans are the reason we enjoy the freedoms we have today yet, for many, life after combat is a struggle.

The Jackson Hole Elks host an annual Fly Fishing Week every September. In Partnership with Honoring Our Veterans Jackson Hole.

The Fly Fishing Week features fly casting instruction, a fly tying class and workshop, education on good river stewardship and the etymology of our region, and fly fishing trips on the beautiful waters of the historic Snake River in Jackson Hole. Veterans can apply online here
